Mean ol' lizard by jeddibub Mean ol' lizard by jeddibub
Inspired by and dedicated to
Glad I could be there for you and hope this piccy makes you feel better (even though it's not exactly warm and fuzzy...I should have drawn you something cute and squeezable shouldn't I?)

Your standard dragon design really. Neutral tones for camouflage, for I imagine this guy huge and resting at the top of a mountain, awaiting trespassers. Mmmm....mountain climbers. ;P

Awesome pic, but calling a dragon a "mean ol' lizard" is almost blasphemy to the race. Srry, but I'm a huge dragon freak.

yes and no. While the dragons themselves woud take it as an insult, its a pretty apt title is you think about it. We are reptiles after all, and very lizard shaped as far as our bodys go. Well most of the time... So a human calling a dragon mean ol' lizard.. is pretty fitting. :silentkitty:

Doesn't mean they wouldn't be any less violently offended. : P

Again, great stuff. I love the way you\'ve handled his mane in particular - it really makes it stand out from the scales. The segmented look of the body is also an interesting approach to take, and certainly maintains the scaly reptilian - even rather worm-esque - feel of this creature. His head looks very malevolent, too - not a dragon I\'d like to be pounced on by!

I love the style, and the coloring is awesome. The claws look sharp o.O Wouldn't want to get into a fight with him. Kickass job =)

its a wyrm-dragon with no wings
still wyrms, drakes, and dragons are essentially all the same, merely different stage or breeds, since dragons are my favorite animals id have to say this is a really good one actually

Wow, I love the little details in this dragon, pretty realistic I should say. The color you chose fits to the drawing quite well too. Good work.

See... now that just plain old rocks. No beating around the bushes, just very very rockin'.

What did you use to make this?
jeddibub Featured By Owner Dec 21, 2004
I hand drew all the line art using a tiny 0.1 fineliner for details...hence all of the tiny lines. Then scanned and coloured using photoshop, with a big fat airbush tool. Glad you enjoyed! :D
